My name is Paweł Czyż, and I am a Bayesian statistician and machine learning researcher focused on modeling complex data.
I enjoy working on:
- all aspects Bayesian statistics, from principled workflows and model validation to scalable inference,
- probabilistic machine learning, especially deep generative models and representation learning,
- applications in biostatistics and computational biology, including mixed models, survival analysis, and cancer genomics.
Beyond my core research, I am interested in connections between category theory, algebraic topology, differential geometry, and mathematical physics.
I hold a Doctor of Sciences degree from ETH Zurich and a Master’s in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford.
